Charlotte NC Golf Instructor Guide is an independent directory covering 53 golf instructor businesses across the Charlotte area, built for golfers who want a straightforward way to compare local pros before booking a lesson. Whether you’re a beginner looking for someone patient with a first-timer or a mid-handicapper chasing a swing fix, this site is meant to save you the time of digging through a dozen browser tabs to figure out who actually teaches near you and who’s worth a call.

We are also upfront about the other half of what this site does: it generates enquiries for local providers. When you ask to be matched with an instructor, we pass your enquiry to providers relevant to your request, and we may receive a referral fee for that introduction. That arrangement is disclosed in full on the quote page, and it never touches how any business is scored or ranked here.

How listings get built

Every listing starts from public business data: things like location, services offered, lesson formats, and contact details. We layer in a synthesis of recent Google reviews to understand patterns in what golfers are saying, but we do not republish review text or copy comments wholesale. Instead, we link out to the business’s actual Google listing so you can read the original reviews yourself in full context.

How rankings work

Rankings are earned, not sold. Each instructor is scored against a published rubric covering factors like responsiveness, consistency of feedback, and depth of public reviews. That process is entirely data-driven, and you can read exactly how it works on our methodology page. Editorial oversight of the rubric and how it’s applied sits with Priya Whitfield, our Lead Editor, who maintains the ranking process across all 53 listings.

A business that finds incorrect details on its own listing (a wrong phone number, an outdated address, a service that’s no longer offered) can request a correction to those facts. What a business cannot do is edit its own score, its sentiment summary, or its position in the rankings. Those outputs come from the rubric and the data alone.

Sponsorship, kept separate

Some pages may include sponsored placements. These are always labelled “Sponsored” and displayed in a distinct section, separate from the earned ranking. Paying to appear as a sponsor does not move a business up the ranked list, does not change its score, and does not alter what the data says about it. The two systems, earned rank and paid placement, are kept structurally apart so you always know which one you’re looking at.
